Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 Android 4.4.2 KitKat update arrives in the Philippines

It first came into the world in France. So I kept waiting until, this morning, my phone downloaded the update. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 officially arrives in the Philippines. So, as you'd all expect, the update (photos below) will turn all your notification icons to just grey instead of them being colored (in previous officially updates). Anyway, as per my phone's performance it was a bit laggy at first like the first 10-20 minutes. I restart my phone and viola. It is opening my apps faster than ever. Get your dose of KitKat on your Note 2 now just tap through Settings > More > About Phone > Software Update. Cheers!

Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE (GT-N7105) starts receiving Android 4.3 update

Samsung is now rolling out the much awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note II. Although this update is only for the LTE variant of the phablet with a model number of GT-N7105. Also, this update is pushed only in the Nordic countries which include (for those who does not know) Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. For those who are not from these countries but own a Note II with that model number (or simply the LTE variant) then there is really no harm in checking if you have the update too and if you do, please comment if you have it and which country you come from. Samsung's Galaxy S III, Note II, and the Galaxy Note 10.1 are the most eco-friendly mobile devices in the world

Collectively known as the Galaxy Trio, Samsung's three flagship (if you may) Android devices are the most eco-friendly mobile devices in the world. Why? Because they are the only devices in the world that hold the most environmental certifications. The eco-friendliness of these devices are measured by how the devices are produced. We all know that it is during the production of these devices that carbon emissions are huge. But Samsung has that covered for 3 years now. Since, Samsung is one of those electronics company who actually manufacture their own devices they have control over how their production plants work. With that advantage, Samsung developed a way of producing these three (at least) devices in such a way that the factories that make them produce the least amount of carbon dioxide gas.

Most, if not all, people will not really bother how their devices look like inside the casing and the screen. What matters most, really, is how the device looks outside. Samsung, released a photo on their Samsung Tomorrow site on how the Galaxy Note II's innards look like. You be the judge, is the Galaxy Note II's innards as pretty as how the phablet looks like from the outside with casing on?

The Samsung Galaxy Note II surpasses 5 million in global sales

Samsung announced that they have officially sold more than 5 million Galaxy Note IIs globally. So, how did it fair with the first Galaxy Note? Well, the first Galaxy Note sold 5 million units of it in 5 months and the Galaxy Note II did it only in 3 months making it the fastest selling phablet Samsung ever made yet, apparently it is also the most bought phablet and I believe it's the only real phablet out there. But we still need to see how the HTC Droid DNA (J Butterfly) do in the market as it is just making way in the US market. Well, what do we have here? Forget about LG's attempt in taking a bit of Samsung's phablet market with their LG Optimus Vu (that was lame), this is the real competition that the Galaxy Note line of devices from Sammy has ever faced. HTC already announced this device in Japan but yesterday, Verizon announced it and dubbed it as the HTC Droid DNA. It is apparently, the smartphone with the world's largest screen resolution on it. It sports a 1080p HD (1920x1090) native resolution which equates to a 441 pixels per inch density. That, alone makes the Galaxy Note II cry for help. But, fret not, the Galaxy Note II still has some tricks up its sleeves.

3 million Galaxy Notes sold and 30 million Galaxy S IIIs sold!

The two babies of Samsung, the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note II, has made records again. Samsung's fastest selling Galaxy S device ever has already made it to the 30 million units sold mark while the mos powerful mobile device ever has already sold 3 million units, considering that it was only available in the market within a month. It's not really a surprise the the Galaxy S III is selling good because the ever since the launch of the first Galaxy S, it has been the most popular Android device ever, Samsung just made a new record with the SGS III.

And Samsung's most brilliant mobile device they have ever made, the Samsung Galaxy Note II. It is also Samsung's first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device to run the version of the platform right out from the box. The Galaxy Note II, is also touted to be Samsung's most powerful device to ever come out their factories.

Smart and Globe puts the Galaxy Note II on pre-order

The top two carriers (as if there are any other carriers in the Philippines) have put the Samsung Galaxy note II up for pre-order so that you guys can be the first to own the most powerful mobile device in the world! Smart announced this officially via their Facebook Page and same goes to Globe.
