Samsung announces new Exynos 5422 Octa and the Exynos 5460 Hexa

Samsung has announced two new additions to their Exynos line of processors at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. These are the Exynos 5 Octa 5422, a revised with higher clockspeed from the 5420, and the Exyno 5 Hexa 5460 processor. I believe you remember the Galaxy Note III Neo which sports the Exynos 5 Hexa processor. It probably is the first device to actually have the 5460 in it. The Exynos 5 Octa 5422 is still to be seen in a mobile device but we should probably expect a Galaxy S V to have this processor, I think, because rumors are already circulating the internet about an Exynos variant of the SGS V. The Octa 5422 is scheduled to be mass produced within the first quarter of this year while the Octa 5460 is already in production (apparently, because of the Note III Neo).

Samsung to unveil 2 new Samsung Exynos processors at CES 2014

Samsung has been constantly teasing over at their Social Media outlets about their Samsung Exynos processors with a date (Jan. 7) and a place (Las Vegas). That, apparently, is during CES 2014. According to UV, the Korean Giant will be announcing or unveiling their, I should say, 2014 line of Exynos processors. 2013 was a year that was all about Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 and 800 quad-core CPUs. Even Samsung's Note III has a variant that runs on the Snapdragon 800.

The Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420 officially unveiled

It is pretty disappointing that the world's first 8-core mobile processor wasn't really a good one when it was discovered to have faulty design making the whole thing useless. Whilst Samsung Electronics denied that the Exynos 5 Octa 5410 had design issues and if they did do something to "repair" that fault would mean that their factories should also be redesigned for mass producing it (these are the news I was able to read on back when the issue was still hot on the iron). Samsung kept on denying that but it was evident that the system on chip is faulty because I do not think there is a Samsung Galaxy S 4 IV today that is being sold (officially) in a market that is being powered by the Exynos 5 Octa 5410. If there are, then I am pretty sure those are devices that got out of their hands. But anyway, the good thing is, Samsung has done something on that and made the processor even more powerful. Ladies and gentlemen, the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420.

Samsung announced the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa an 8-core applications processor

The world's best maker of applications processors has done it again. After being able to spit out the best mobile processor in 2012 with the Samsung Exynos 4 Quad (found in the Galaxy S III and the Note II), the Korean-giant has announced at CES 2013, the next iteration of their Exynos line of processors, the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa. Yup, Octa which means? 8-cores.
