Samsung starts producing 4GB LPDDR3 RAMs for mobile devices!

Samsung announced on their global blog, Samsung Tomorrow, that one of Samsung Group's arms, Samsung Semiconductors Corporation has started producing the industry's first 4GB LPDDR3 DRAM for mobile  devices. Of course, this is great news because Samsung is yet to announce the Galaxy Note 3. Rumor has it that Samsung will totally give the next iteration of the world's first phablet a new look. That means that the Galaxy Note 3 might run away from the design aesthetics of the 2012 and 2013 even that of the Galaxy S 4. With Samsung's announcement and unveiling of the Exynos 5 Octa (world's first 8-core app processor) and now this, the first 4GB DRAM these things should, and I say should, be in the Galaxy Note 3.

"The 4Gb LPDDR3 can transmit data at up to 2,133 megabits per second (Mbps) per pin, which is more than double the performance of the preceding memory standard mobile DRAM (LPDDR2) with a data transmission speed of 800Mbps. This makes it possible to transmit three full HD videos, collectively 17 Gigabytes (GBs) in length, in one second over the new Samsung chip embedded in a mobile device."

I am already impressed by how 2GB of RAM available on my Galaxy Note II gives me but with a 4GB RAM? My goodness. I really do hope that this technology will be incorporated into the Note III.

In the very short history of the Galaxy Note line from Samsung, the Korean phonemaker has always made the Note a higher tier device than that of the Galaxy S, their Flagship Android smartphone. The Note I was better in many ways than the Galaxy S II while the Note II is way better than the Galaxy S III. The two are different though. All though the Note can basically do whatever the Galaxy S can do they are still different due to the fact that the Notes have the S Pen.

Anyway, let's just wait and see for Samsung to announce the Galaxy Note III. Start crossing your fingers for the 4GB RAM equipped Note III.
