Samsung Galaxy A3 & A5

Galaxy A3
Samsung announced two smartphones that will take the route of where the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has taken off. The first device is the Samsung Galaxy A3, the smaller of the two. They, the A3 and the A5, both have the same design they only differ in their specification and their sizes. According to Samsung, these devices are optimized for Social Networking and both have ultra slim design. These devices are Samsung's thinnest smartphones to date. The A3 and the A5 are 6.9mm and 6.7mm thin, respectively. They come in a variety of colors and are available globally, I am sure of this.

Samsung pushes Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Galaxy S5!

According to SamMobile, Samsung's Galaxy S 5 in Poland with the model number SM-G900F is now getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. This is the first Samsung device that will be getting and running on Google's latest Android version. About the update, SamMobile is saying that European countries other than Poland should also be set to receive the update after a day or two. Anyway, for those who basically own a Galaxy S 5, it does no harm to manually check if you have the update or not yet. Meanwhile, watch the vide made by SamMobile below where Android 5.0 Lollipop is running on a Galaxy S 5.

Globe and Smart start taking pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

In the Philippines, the two largest carriers have started taking pre-orders or interest for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. During the Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event in Berlin (IFA 2014), Samsung said that they will be launching the phone in more than 100 countries in October and it seems like the Philippines is one of those. If you are in the Philippines and wants to be one of the first to get to own the Galaxy Note 4, Globe and Smart have started getting pre-orders of the device.

Samsung releases a slew of ads poking fun at Apple

Samsung has released 6 ads that, I think, will be aired in the USA since they look like they are made by Samsung Mobile USA that went on making fun at Apple. The ads were released and uploaded on Samsung Mobile's YouTube channel a few days after Apple's unveiling of their phablet challenger, the iPhone 6 Plus. I really don't need to say anything else with these ads. Just watch them and have fun. My favorite is that ad right there in the photo. (video after the break)

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab Active

This is, according to Samsung, their tablet offering specifically built for business. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active a tablet that looks like more of an outdoor tablet rather than a business tablet. The design and how you actually perceive it delivers. The tablet has anti-shock covering, which explains all the metal and rubber frame and back cover. the tablet has a pen too but not the S Pen but a C Pen and it is made for the outdoors too (see photos after the break).

Here's Jordan showing you the cool features of the Note Edge and what the edge screen can do for you.

Samsung partners with Montblanc to offer a unique digital writing experience

Samsung and Montblanc have formed a partnership to offer Note 4 and Note Edge customers a unique accessory for those who are up for a bit of luxury when using their devices. Montblanc, a luxury manufacturer of writing instruments, watches, jewellery and leather goods, have 2 kinds of accessories for the Note line. First, the pens which both work as an alternative S Pen and a pen that actually writes with ink. It's an easy switch of refills (if you may) from the digital one to the ink-filled one.

Samsung UNPACKED 2014 Episode 2 Berlin now on YouTube

The Samsung UNPACKED 2014 Episode 2 live event is not up on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. For those who have not watched the event during the time it was streamed, then head over after the break to watch the whole event. When I wrote about both the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge (include the Gear VR) I said it would be better to actually see the devices while they are being demoed. So this is your time. Enjoy!

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge - Specifications & Features

This, I am pretty sure, was unheard of. Never got into the rumor mill! Nobody saw this device to be unveiled by dear old Sammy. I like surprises, but this is way more than a surprise. The world's first mobile device with a curved display? If not, then Samsung's first mobile device (that is not a smartwatch) with a curved Super AMOLED display. [Edit] The Galaxy Round, I believe, took the honor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Specifications & Features

The next generation Galaxy Note device has been announced in Berlin at Samsung's UNPACKED 2014 Episode 2 event. For those who watched the unveiling and presentation of the device, you might consider this device as a minor update from the Note 3. But I would say that the real upgrades from the Note 3 to the Note 4 are in the inside. Like the Note 4's S Pen which is touted by Samsung to be twice more sensitive than that of the Note 3's "making writing with the S Pen feel like the real thing." Improvements to the Multi-Window have also been taken into consideration in the never ending quest of Samsung's refining process of their flagship devices. The Galaxy Note 4 is also Samsung's first Note device to sport 1440p display or Quad HD or 2560x1440 native display resolution. Also the device has been packed with the things that the consumers have loved about the Galaxy S 5, like the fingerprint scanner and of course the heart-rate sensor (which also doubles as a camera shutter button on the Note 4).

Samsung Gear VR - Mobile Virtual Reality

Earlier, during the Samsung UNPACKED 2014 Episode 2 event, Samsung unveiled 4 devices. The fist they unveiled is the Samsung Gear S, which we already know by now. The next is this one, the Samsung Gear VR. In partnership with Oculus, the Gear VR is Samsung's first virtual reality device. Now, I am not really an expert or whatever with virtual reality but since this is Samsung City, I am obliged to inform you. The device will be available via Samsung's online stores and select carriers within this year.

Swarovski brings their bling to the Samsung Gear S

Swarovski have extended its partnership with Samsung, yet again, with another addition to their Swarovski for Samsung collection. This time, it's a strap for the new Samsung Gear S. Swarovski brings the "bling" to the Gear S and apparently will make owners of the Gear S have the option to actually wear the smartwatch in formal events or where "bling" is appreciated.

Samsung Unpacked Episode 2 - 2 days to go!

Samsung has been pumping up the hype for their September 3 event at IFA Berlin 2014. The Samsung Unpacked Episode 2 is the event when the next generation Galaxy Note device is to be unveiled. This is not a secret anymore. There has been tons of rumors and leaks about the device. So, the last thing we need to do now is tune in during the global event that Samsung will try to pull off in September 3, that is 2 days from now. Watch the teaser video from Samsung after the break.

Samsung Gear S

Here's another Smartwatch churned by the Korean-giant! The Samsung Gear S is brilliantly designed and is running on Samsung's Tizen OS just like the other Gear smartwatches (except the Gear Live). This is Samsung's first smartwatch that has it's own connectivity and by that I mean it has 3G connectivity which basically means this smartwatch can run on it's own. It can also be connected via WiFi which is amazing since this is a watch and not a phone. The Gear S also sports a 2" curved Super AMOLED display and a 300 mAh battery, on paper, that can run for up to 2 days. The Gear S will be available globally in phases starting October.

The Galaxy Note 4's wallpaper?

Posted by SamMobile, this is probably the Galaxy Note 4's default wallpaper or probably the wallpaper it will be wearing when the device is unveiled come September 3. The photo or the wallpaper you see above has been resized (by me). It can actually tell us the screen resolution the Note 4 will be sporting by simply looking at the photo's detail. The photo was originally uploaded with a resolution of 2560x2560 if you give it a little bit of thinking, you know what the Note 4's display resolution is, immediately. Getting more excited as September 3 comes closer.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK

Samsung together with Barnes and Noble unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK. It's essentially an eReader with the unlimited features of Android in a tablet that is 7inches big. It probably has the same exact specs with that of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7 but unfortunately, I could be wrong since Samsung nor Barnes and Noble did not release the specsheet of the device. Anyway, for those who wants to check out this device head over to the device's product page in the Barnes and Noble website.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Samsung have announced a mid-range smartphone that does not look like it is for the mid-range market... at all. Today, the South Korean giant announced to the world the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. What is the first thing you notice when you look at the photo of the phone? Yup, the design and most especially the use of materials that is unusual to be coming from Samsung. According to the company's press release the Alpha features a "new design approach with the Galaxy Alpha." The smartphone runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI and a 4.7 display powered by an Octa-core processor. It is a mid-range device (which basically means it will be priced a bit more affordable compared to the flagships) but the specs and the design totally makes it a worthy smartphone to be up there and should be selling like hotcakes, unless the market says otherwise. The Galaxy Alpha is set to be available by September.

Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 - take NOTE of the date

Samsung officially sends out invites of their Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event this coming September 3, 2014. The event will be happening in three cities around the world, the main, I suppose, is in Berlin while it will be happening simultaneously in Beijing and in New York. So, what should we expect from this event? Following history and the apparent image on the invitation Samsung released, the event is when the next Samsung Galaxy Note is being unveiled. I do have a concern though that the device is being announced too early? But anyway, take NOTE of the date, mark your calendars the next big thing is coming.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Core 2, Star 2, Ace 4, and Young 2 Android 4.4 smartphones

Samsung Galaxy Core 2

Samsung have announced a slew of upgrades of their other line of devices below the Galaxy S line. These devices are the Galaxy Core 2, Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Ace 4, and the Galaxy Young 2. All fall between the mid-range to the low-end market. All of these devices run on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Samsung did not mention anything about when and where these devices will be available. But anyway, the specs.

The Samsung Galaxy S 5 Mini

Samsung have announced the successor of the Galaxy S 4 Mini and the little brother of the Galaxy S 5. The Samsung Galaxy S 5 Mini, like it's big brother, is water and dust resistance getting the same IP rating of 67 like that of the SGS 5. It also carries the dimples on its rear panel like the S5. Like any other "Mini" branded smartphones and devices from Samsung this is a mid-range device. It has a Super AMOLED display albeit only at 720p. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and also has a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate sensor. The Galaxy S 5 Mini is expected to be available by early July.

Samsung climbs to 11th spot on Interbrand's Best Global Green Brands

Interbrand have released their 4th annual 50 Best Global Green Brands and Samsung moved up to 11th spot from 16th last year. I am actually a bit surprised because the top 4 companies are all car makers. I mean, I thought they would be the most unfriendly to the environment. But anyway, Samsung is really doing great with their environmental campaign. Since the Galaxy Note 3 (I think) the Korean giant have started using recycled materials for their packaging and I don't even have any idea what they do in their factories that gave them the 11th spot.

The Samsung Gear Live

Samsung indirectly unveiled the Samsung Gear Live at Google I/O 2014 that just ended a few minutes ago. This will be Samsung's first and so far only Android Wear running smart watch. Technically, this awesome device (awesome because it runs Android Wear) will be a competitor to Samsung's other Gear line of devices that run on Tizen. Anyway, the Gear Live will be available to order starting June 25 via the Google Play Store.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) Android 4.4.2 KitKat update arrives in the Philippines

Samsung has finally rolled out the Android 4.4.2 update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012). This is the tablet's first ever software update after it had 4.1 so it was a very long wait for those who owned one. Earlier today, I got a notification from my N8000 (with mobile connectivity) that an 800MB software update is ready for download. I was sure with that size of  download that it is gonna be the KitKat coming and it did not fail me. There are a lot of things going on with the new software once you have it installed. Aside from a new look and feel it will give your device, it gave the tablet the boost it did not have with 4.1. It feels faster and apps seems to launch faster with 4.4. Multi-window has now been changed from what we previously known from the Note 10.1 to the one that the Galaxy Note 3 has (check photos below). I am sure there are a lot more things with this update, I still need to discover them but for those who have the update already and are looking for the screenshot button? Samsung removed that. Taking a screenshot with the new software will require you either with the S Pen (the S Pen trick) or pressing and holding the Lock and Volume Down buttons. Check the update now and enjoy your even faster Note 10.1 (2012).

The world's first Broadband LTE-A smartphone with WQHD display - Samsung Galaxy S V Broadband LTE-A

Samsung has announced a beefed up Galaxy S 5 in South Korea and will only be sold in their home turf. The phone is dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy S 5 Broadband LTE-A, the world's first. It is only available in South Korea because probably, and I am inclined to believe so, the only country that has a commercially available Broadband LTE-A network, specifically SK Telecom which was also the world's first carrier to provide LTE-A service commercially available to the public. Anyway, the SGS 5 Broadband LTE-A is a next generation smartphone that theoretically gives users triple the speeds of current LTE services (in South Korea that would be around 225mbps). It is also the world's first smartphone to sport a WQHD (2156x1440) Super AMOLED display and now it comes standard with 3GB of RAM unlike it's twin, the SGS 5. The phone will be available in South Korea this summer.

The Samsung Tab S 10.5 - Super AMOLED

Here is the bigger brother of the just announced Samsung Tab S. This is, apparently, the 10.5 inch Tab S announced earlier in New York together with the Tab S 8.4. Both sport Super AMOLED displays which is a first in the tablet category. Just like its little brother, the 10.5-incher sports the same hardware design aesthetics with the Galaxy S 5. That means the rear panel of the device sports dimples. Both tablets will be available too in July in selected markets and should be launched in more regions thereafter. Anyway, the specs.

The Samsung Tab S 8.4 - with Super AMOLED display

Earlier today, Samsung has announced their newest flagship tablet in New York. Dubbed as the Samsung Tab S it is the world's first HD Super AMOLED tablet. The Tab S is, apparently, aimed squarely on the iPad and I think they really got it right now. The Super AMOLED display is what the tablet world really needed for its huge display real estate the said display technology can only do great things for this device category. Super AMOLEDs have been rated the best in the smartphone world so I hope they do too in the tablet world. The tablet will be available in selective markets by July.

Samsung's first Tizen running smartphone, the Samsung Z

Back in June 2, 2014, Samsung has announced the first Tizen OS running smartphone and is dubbed as the Samsung Z. The device unfortunately (I think) got a silent launching. The device is running Tizen 2.2.1 and if you try to look at the device it resembles Samsung's Wave line of devices which ran the Bada platform. The one thing you will notice immediately on this device is that it is made with premium materials, or at least it looks like it. The rear panel of the device looks like it is made of leather but it could be just fauz leather just like the Note 3. Anyway, Samsung is expected to make the device available in Russia in the 3rd quarter of this year and will be launched on other regions thereafter.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 WiFi gets Android 4.4.2 KitKat update

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet. According to SamMobile, the update has already been out but for the WiFi only variant it is only recently that it has been rolled out. The updates seems to be for those Note 8s in the UK and should be coming to more regions as the day goes by. For those who owns a Galaxy Note 8.0 check for a software update now by tapping through > Settings > About Device > Software Update. Cheers!

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 Android 4.4.2 KitKat update arrives in the Philippines

It first came into the world in France. So I kept waiting until, this morning, my phone downloaded the update. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 officially arrives in the Philippines. So, as you'd all expect, the update (photos below) will turn all your notification icons to just grey instead of them being colored (in previous officially updates). Anyway, as per my phone's performance it was a bit laggy at first like the first 10-20 minutes. I restart my phone and viola. It is opening my apps faster than ever. Get your dose of KitKat on your Note 2 now just tap through Settings > More > About Phone > Software Update. Cheers!

Samsung announces a Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event in June

Samsung has sent out invites for their next event coming this June 12th in New York City! According to the event image above, they apparently will be announcing a tablet of sorts. As per the rumor mill, it is going to be the Galaxy Tab S which will bring Samsung's AMOLED display technology to the tablet world, finally. Mark your calendars! The event will start at 19:00 EST and will be streamed by Samsung on their Samsung Mobile Youtube Channel.

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom

Samsung, in Singapore, has announced the apparent successor to the Samsung Galaxy S IV Zoom. This time, Samsung spun the said device off the Galaxy S line by creating a whole new line of smartphones. Dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, the camera-phone has amazingly slimmed down from its predecessor. Albeit it kind of follows the Galaxy S V's aesthetics with the rear panel an apparent take from the S5's, the Galaxy K is, personally, a great phone design-wise. From a 16MP sensor, the Galaxy K now sports a 20MP rear camera with that same zoom lens it always had.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat arrives to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) tablet. The device launched and was sold with Android 4.3 Jellybean in tow. Today, with this update, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) joins the Samsung family of devices that boasts Android 4.4 KitKat. For those who owns this particular tablet from Samsung, you might want to check for software updates. I think the update is available for the global variant of the tablet. I am not sure if the US has it already but it does not hurt to check. Cheers!

Samsung Gear Fit sports Samsung SDI's curved battery

Samsung SDI, a subsidiary of Samsung Group and supplies batteries to Apple, unveiled their curved batteries for wearables. This (photo above) battery is 210mAh and with Samsung's technological development, called the V-Bending technology, allows them to create a a battery that has a reduced size but with increasing capacity.

Samsung releases list of Galaxy devices compatible with the Gear Fit, Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo

Samsung has officially released a list of all the devices that will be or are compatible with their newest family of wearable devices. The Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and the Gear Fit will be compatible with 20 Samsung Galaxy devices. The list is right after the break. As with the photo above it is obvious that Samsung might make these wearables compatible with more devices since they explicitly pointed out "as of April 15, 2014". Anyway, the devices.

Samsung updates Group Play to 3.0 with Group Camcorder on the Galaxy S 5

For those who owns a Samsung from the Note 2 - 3 and the S4 -5, then you probably know what the app named Group Play cna do. Samsung has updated that to Group Play 3.0 on the Galaxy S 5 adding a feature called Group Camcorder. Again, for those who owns a Samsung, this feature need not be explained it works just like what the other features in the app are.

Kapture the Moment event by Samsung

Samsung has another event in the coming weeks titled "Kapture The Moment". The event will happen at 11am in Singapore's Red Dot Design Museum. Of course, Samsung won't give out what the main point or topic of the event is but it looks like there is going to be a new phone announced. Probably that Galaxy S5 with a metallic design? Who knows? Mark your calendars if you want to find out what it is.

Samsung makes vertical display orientation possible to the Samsung Gear Fit

When the Samsung Gear Fit was announced, it only had one display orientation available for those who will be buying the said smartband. As the public voiced out their concern of wearing a smartband with an orientation that is perpendicular of how you actually look at a watch on your wrist reached Samsung, the people over at South Korea went back to the drawing board. The Gear Fit will eventually get the vertical orientation we all wanted. So, thank you Samsung! for listening.

Samsung makes Graphene commercially viable

With the advent of curved and flexible displays, companies who do the development and discovery of new technology in order for new tech to be commercially viable has been hard at work trying to look for the support materials needed for these tech to work properly and are cost efficient. In South Korea, Samsung, together with SungKyunKwan University, has discovered a new way of making graphene commercially viable.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0

Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, which basically follows the same design as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 it is just 1-inch smaller. Anyway. this tablet will also be available by Q2 of 2014 and just like the rest of the Tab 4 line, they have the same specs only that they are sized differently for you to choose the best sized tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. 8.0

Next we have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. It has everything the GTab 4 10.1 has but just in a smaller form factor. That is how lines work. Anyway, like the GTab 4 10.1, the Galaxy Tab 4 80 is also expected to be available by Q2 of 2014. No details about the pricing yet, as always.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1

Samsung has updated their Galaxy Tab line with the unveiling of the Galaxy Tab 4 tablets. First, we have the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 which goes to improve the design from what it tries to succeed, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. It also follows the boxier aesthetics of the Note 10.1 (2014). Anyway, the line is expected to become available in Q2 of 2014. As always, the Galaxy Tab line is always inferior to the Galaxy Note line of devices from the South Korean giant but it does not mean that these devices should be ignored in the market. The GTab 4 10.1 comes with LTE connectivity and all the other stuff you usually see in a tablet. For the specs, head over the break.

Smart starts accepting registration of interest for the Galaxy S 5

So, both carriers in the Philippines will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S 5 which will arrive by the 11th of April, I'm sure (at least for Globe). Anyway, I got this news from Smart's Line account, yes I am subscribed to them there. Anyway, Smart is offering the smartphone with their Plan 1799 with a 2-year contract, of course. If you want to get the smartphone with Smart's LTE, then head over here and register now. For Globe users and fans, go here. For more info about the Galaxy S 5 click the link.

Globe starts accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S 5!

Globe has started to accept pre-orders for Samsung's 2014 Flagship Android Smartphone, the Galaxy S 5. It looks like Globe will be, until Smart does something, the only carrier in the Philippines to be offering the smartphone. You can get the Galaxy S 5 for as low as Php 1699 with 2 years contract. For those who wants to pre-order one right now, head over here. Check out Globe's offerings for the smartphone. But always be vigilant before applying for a plan with carriers in the Philippines. I believe Globe will start giving out the smartphone by the 11th, like what Samsung has announced back at MWC 2014 in Spain. Anyway, Cheers!

The Samsung Chromebook 2 Series

Samsung has announced the successor to the Samsung Chromebook dubbed as the Chromebook 2 Series. These laptops apparently run on Google's Chrome OS and with the new Chromebook 2, Samsung has taken what the Galaxy Note 3 has and put it on the laptop. The series come in either an 11.6" display or a 13.3" and has the faux-leather backing just like what the Note 3 has. According to Samsung, the Chromebook 2's performance increase and sports Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa processors. Both laptop variants are expected to be available starting April of this year. The 11-incher gets an MSRP of $319.99 while the 13-incher gets it at $399.99. Head over the break for the Chromebooks' specs.

Samsung Gear Fit + Infographic

So here's my very late post about the Samsung Gear Fit, Samsung's first SmartBand and the world's first device that is not a smartphone or phablet to sport a curved AMOLED display. The Gear Fit works just like the Gear 2 but it is just a band instead of a watch and the Gear 2 have more features in it than the Fit. But regardless, the Gear Fit will do its job and will perform as what Samsung has promised. It is water resistant with IP67 certification and can notify you on whatever is going on with your smartphone. The Gear Fit, like the Gear 2 runs on Samsung's Tizen OS and is fully compatible with their Galaxy line of devices.

Samsung Gear 2 infographics

Samsung basically released infographics to all the mobile devices they unveiled at MWC 2014. I have already posted about the Galaxy S 5 about its infographics and now we have the Samsung Gear 2. I will not talk more about the Gear 2 we all know what it can do. If you still don't then click on the link above (Gear 2) to know it a little more. So here is the inforgraphic and the Gear 2's introduction video (together with the Gear Fit).

Globe Telecom now accepts registration of interest for the Samsung Galaxy S V

Globe Telecom, in the Philippines, has opened up a Galaxy S V dedicated page on their website for you to sign up your interest for the coming of the smartphone. There are no details yet on what postpaid plans Globe will be offering the device but at least you ca pre-register now. The Galaxy S V will definitely arrive in the Philippines on April 11, 2014 as announced by Samsung during their Unpacked Episode 1 event in Barcelona, Spain. Pricing, without the plan, is still to be known, but I will be posting about it once Globe announces it or as soon as they provide further details. If you are interested in Samsung's 2014 Flagship Android smartphone, then head over here to pre-register with Globe.

Samsung Galaxy S family inforgraphic

Samsung has made a very neat infographic image of their Galaxy S line of devices. From the beginning up to the newest Samsung Galaxy S V which was announced just a few days ago. I am a Samsung fanatic, apparently, and wants to emphasize that the image above clearly shows how Samsung actually upgrades their Galaxy S. Unlike some other phonemakers in the market, they actually do incremental upgrades while Samsung here upgrades their devices as if there is no tomorrow.

Samsung announces the 16MP & 13MP ISOCELL CMOS Image sensors

16MP ISOCELL CMOS Image Sensor
Other deep (since these are things you do not see from the outside of a device) things that Samsung has announced in Barcelona is their ISOCELL image sensors. If you have read this article by me then you can stop reading now and proceed to other Samsung news within this blog. Or you can continue.

Samsung has announced their 13MP and 16MP ISOCELL CMOS image sensors. Samsung's ISOCELL technology increases the sensor's light sensitivity and effectively controls the collection of electrons (that is what their official announcement said).

Samsung announces new Exynos 5422 Octa and the Exynos 5460 Hexa

Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5422

Samsung has announced two new additions to their Exynos line of processors at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. These are the Exynos 5 Octa 5422, a revised with higher clockspeed from the 5420, and the Exyno 5 Hexa 5460 processor. I believe you remember the Galaxy Note III Neo which sports the Exynos 5 Hexa processor. It probably is the first device to actually have the 5460 in it. The Exynos 5 Octa 5422 is still to be seen in a mobile device but we should probably expect a Galaxy S V to have this processor, I think, because rumors are already circulating the internet about an Exynos variant of the SGS V. The Octa 5422 is scheduled to be mass produced within the first quarter of this year while the Octa 5460 is already in production (apparently, because of the Note III Neo).
