Globe to launch the Galaxy S IV in May

The Samsung Galaxy S IV will be available in the Philippines because it just cannot happen that the superphone won't arrive in the country. Globe is the first carrier to announce that they will be offering the device sometime in May. Yup, no exact date when it will be available, unfortunately. In the Philippines, pre-orders is not a thing here that happens everyday and I don't know why, so you cannot pre-order the Galaxy S IV a month or so before it will become available. But, you can register your interest of it which means you'd get an email that it has arrived.

For those who wants to subscribe to updates or what they call before as register your interest, you can head over to Globe and do just that.

According to YugaTech, there will be two versions of the Galaxy S IV coming in the Philippines. The Samsung Galaxy S IV GT-I9500 and the GT-I9505. The difference between the two lies in the fact that one supports 4G LTE connectivity while the other cannot also the kind of CPU used. The GT-I9500 is the non-4G LTE and is powered by the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 8-core processor. The GT-I9505 is the 4G LTE capable and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor.

This information is a contradiction of an article I have read about the Exynos 5 Octa. The article (I'm sorry I cannot provide a link - lost it) supports 20 4G LTE bandwidths. There was also a report that confirmed the fact that Samsung is having a problem with the mas production of the Exynos 5 Octa CPUs which means most or let's say the first batch or two S IVs releases globally will run with the Qualcomm CPU. I am still optimistic of the a news or a press release from Samsung explaining what happened with 4G LTE support on the S IV running on their Exynos 5 Octa CPU and the problems with the manufacturing of these CPUs.

Anyway, benchmarks after benchmarks have proven that the Qualcomm equipped S IV is the device to beat. It has consistently beaten every other smartphone out there and that has just been announced even the HTC One.
