Samsung Galaxy Note III Neo

Samsung in Poland has officially made the Galaxy Note III Neo official by silently outing it there. Like what I have always said to my readers/friends Samsung will only announce two flagship devices in a year and to do those who own a Note III shouldn't worry about this announcement. The Note III Neo is a non-flagship device and carries the Note II specs with the Note III-ish design especially the rear panel which sports a leather-like feel to it. Samsung has not yet put this device over their official website where they collate their press releases so there I still do not have anything from this device with regards to its official specs sheet.

Samsung starts rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005)

Well, it looks like the rumors of Samsung testing the Android 4.4.2 KitKat build on the Note III weeks ago were true. According to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note III (SM-N9005) in Poland has started receiving the said version of Android. Yes! The update has started rolling out but as of now, it is only in Poland, as per the report. The update, as of now, is said to be being administered via Samsung Kies. But there is really no harm in checking if an OTA update is already available and if that fails you can then tether your device to get the update via Kies. Cheers!

CES 2014: The Samsung Galaxy NotePro

Last but definitely not the least, the Samsung Galaxy NotePro. The biggest of the Galaxy Note line sporting the same screen size with that of the Galaxy TabPro (12.2). The NotePro sports a huge 12.2" WQXGA (2560x1600) display. It basically has all the features the TabPro (12.2) have but with the addition of the famous S Pen. Of course, whenever Samsung puts the S Pen into a Galaxy Note device that device automatically turns into something special. It does all the things the TabPro line can do plus more. The Galaxy NotePro will also be available globally in Q1 of 2014 and is available in different versions.

CES 2014: The Samsung Galaxy TabPro (12.2)

And here is the big daddy of the Galaxy TabPro line. Dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy TabPro (12.2), this is one of Samsung's largest Android tablet to date. It follows in terms of design the other Galaxy TabPros but only with a bigger screen and a display aspect ratio of 16:10. According to Samsung, this is the world's first 12.2-incher tablet with a WQXGA resolution with the said aspect ratio allowing for a new way to consume content and create them. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and a huge 9500 mAh battery. The TabPro (12.2) will be sold globally in Q1 of 2014.

CES 2014: The Samsung Galaxy TabPro (10.1)

Here is the second of the slew of tablets Samsung has unveiled at CES 2014. This is the Samsung Galaxy TabPro (10.1) the bigger brother of the TabPro (8.4). The way it looks, Samsung has followed what the Note III have, a leather-like rear panel is prominent on these devices. That is still not to mention that these devices looks a lot like the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014). Anyway, like the TabPro (8.4) this tablet will be available globally starting Q1 of 2014 and will be available with various connectivity from WiFi-only to WiFi + 4G LTE.

CES 2014: The Samsung Galaxy TabPro (8.4)

We all know it's CES 2014 what we don't know, until now, are the devices Samsung has announced in Las Vegas. They actually unveiled a slew of tablets bearing the "Pro" on their names probably Samsung is creating a whole new line of Galaxy Tabs. Anyway, first we have the 8.4-incher Samsung Galaxy TabPro. It's a tablet that runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and sports a 8.4" WQXGA resolution display. This device will come in also a slew of versions from a WiFi-only to WiFi + 4G LTE connectivity. Also, if you look at the photo above and below, it looks like Samsung has changed how their tablets will look like with their new Magazine UX overlay which follows the Galaxy Note III's My Magazine feature. According to Samsung, this new look will be carried out to all their tablets including the tablets that I will be posting about after this.

Samsung to unveil 2 new Samsung Exynos processors at CES 2014

Samsung has been constantly teasing over at their Social Media outlets about their Samsung Exynos processors with a date (Jan. 7) and a place (Las Vegas). That, apparently, is during CES 2014. According to UV, the Korean Giant will be announcing or unveiling their, I should say, 2014 line of Exynos processors. 2013 was a year that was all about Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 and 800 quad-core CPUs. Even Samsung's Note III has a variant that runs on the Snapdragon 800.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera II

Ahead of CES 2014 in Las Vegas, Samsung announces, finally, the next-gen Samsung Galaxy Camera II. This camera apparently succeeds on the success of the original Galaxy Camera. The one thing I immediately noticed with the Galaxy Camera II is it's width. Samsung has done a good job in actually making this camera thinner than what it succeeds. Design-wise, the GCam2 does not really go far away from it's older brother which is nice because we want this line of camera from Samsung a bit noticeable. Once you get to see that aesthetics, you'd immediately identify it as the GCam2. Like almost all of Samsung's announced devices, the Galaxy Camera 2 does not come with information regarding when and where this camera will be sold. But taking note of the original Galaxy Camera, expect this to be sold around the world.

Samsung develops world's first 8GB LPDDR4 RAM for mobile devices

Samsung developed the world's first 8GB LPDDR4 RAM for mobile devices which is manufactured with their 20nm class process. I really do not know what that means but then again it sounds cool. There is no word when Samsung plans to start mass producing this jawdroppingly huge DRAMs but since they announced it this early expect that the South Korean giant to produce them around Q3 or Q4 of 2014.
