Samsung announces the 16MP & 13MP ISOCELL CMOS Image sensors

16MP ISOCELL CMOS Image Sensor
Other deep (since these are things you do not see from the outside of a device) things that Samsung has announced in Barcelona is their ISOCELL image sensors. If you have read this article by me then you can stop reading now and proceed to other Samsung news within this blog. Or you can continue.

Samsung has announced their 13MP and 16MP ISOCELL CMOS image sensors. Samsung's ISOCELL technology increases the sensor's light sensitivity and effectively controls the collection of electrons (that is what their official announcement said).

Samsung announces new Exynos 5422 Octa and the Exynos 5460 Hexa

Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5422

Samsung has announced two new additions to their Exynos line of processors at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. These are the Exynos 5 Octa 5422, a revised with higher clockspeed from the 5420, and the Exyno 5 Hexa 5460 processor. I believe you remember the Galaxy Note III Neo which sports the Exynos 5 Hexa processor. It probably is the first device to actually have the 5460 in it. The Exynos 5 Octa 5422 is still to be seen in a mobile device but we should probably expect a Galaxy S V to have this processor, I think, because rumors are already circulating the internet about an Exynos variant of the SGS V. The Octa 5422 is scheduled to be mass produced within the first quarter of this year while the Octa 5460 is already in production (apparently, because of the Note III Neo).

The Samsung Galaxy S V - 2014 Flagship Android Smartphone

Samsung has just announced their 2014 flagship Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S V during their Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 1 event. The new phone is, personally, lovable. The way the back panel is perforated gives the Galaxy S line of devices a new feel to it. Anyway, design is subjective so let's just leave it at that. The features are more interesting that the design, as it should be with a Samsung device. The S5 is the world's first smartphone with a heart rate sensor on it. Yes, the one you see just below the camera lens (photo above) just beside the flash. Also the S5 runs on the latest version of Android, 4.4 KitKat and has a larger display measuring 5.1". A larger battery comes into the bandwagon too and I should not forget, it is the first Galaxy S device to be IP67 certified uhuh, it now competes with Sony's Xperia line of devices. The S5 has a IP67 certification which is higher than that of  the Z2 (IP58).

MWC 2014: Samsung Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo

Samsung, ahead of their Unpacked event at the Mobile World Congress 2014, has announced the successor to the Galaxy Gear, which was announced last year together with the Galaxy Note III. Their are two new smart watches from the Korean giant these are the Samsung Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo. These smart watches goes away from Android and actually runs on Samsung's own Tizen OS. I am pretty sure that these smart watches will still work fine with an Android device since, so far, there are no Tizen mobile devices announced yet.
